NAt a time when Rúben Amorim seems closer to staying at Sporting than heading to England at the end of the season, West Ham will already be negotiating with… Julen Lopetegui. The Spanish coach, currently without a club, was another of the Hammers’ targets, in addition to Amorim, and will already have a three-season proposal in hand with an annual salary of five million euros, reveals Nicolò Schira this Wednesday.
The same Italian journalist guarantees that the first contacts between the parties were “positive” and that the former FC Porto coach is now analyzing the offer on the table.
It should be noted that, unlike Rúben Amorim, Lopetegui has experience in the Premier League, as he has already coached Wovlerhampton, in 2022/23, with a total balance of 10 wins in 27 games.
Furthermore, this was the last adventure of the 57-year-old Spanish coach who has since found himself without a club. In addition to FC Porto and Wolves, Lopetegui has also coached Sevilla, Real Madrid and the Spanish national team.
