A week after being released from Brians 2 on parole, Dani Alves made a decision on social media that many understand as a vote of protest. The Brazilian player, who was sentenced to four and a half years in prison, after being accused of raping a young woman in a nightclub in Barcelona, on December 31, 2022, now does not follow anyone on that social network, that is, his ‘ follows’ are zero. There are those who consider that this is a vote of protest motivated by the fact that he felt abandoned by some of his friends while he was in prison. The Brazilian defender lost many followers on that social network, but many current and former footballers, such as Messi, Vinícius, Iniesta, Pedri, Eder Militão, Sergio Ramos, Neymar, Iker Casillas, Gerard Piqué or Cristiano Ronaldo, still follow him. Dani Alves currently has 36.6 million followers on Instagram.

The Brazilian international, remember, paid a bail of one million euros to be released on parole, which was granted to him after his four and a half year sentence. His defense, the prosecutor’s office and the victim appealed the sentence, for different reasons.
