This Tuesday, Netflix launched ‘Treble Winners’, a documentary that portrays Manchester City’s success last season with their success in the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup. After the ‘Daily Mail’ revealed that the series shows Guardiola’s ‘scolding’ after Cancelo’s mistakethe British newspaper also decided to highlight some of the main moments of the documentary.

The ‘Daily Mail’ begins by pointing out that Grealish used Manchester City’s main training ground to walk his dog, who one day ended up… defecating on the pitch. Afterwards, the newspaper highlights Kevin de Bruyne’s peculiar routine before games. The Belgian midfielder, one of the highlights of last season’s team, wears headphones and is often seen playing ‘Candy Crush’ on his cell phone.

But the curiosities don’t stop there. The newspaper also highlights the fact that Rodri seems to be the most timely player in the citizens’ locker room, as in the documentary it is possible to see the Spanish midfielder speaking aggressively to his teammates on several occasions: “What are we doing? We missed one, we missed two. I’m not blaming anyone, but if we want to win we have to grab it”, he said after the draw with Nottingham Forest. Another detail of the Manchester City dressing room mentioned by the ‘Daily Mail’ is that the players watched Arsenal’s games, even becoming discouraged by the Gunners’ victories.

Another situation revealed in the documentary and highlighted by the English publication is that Julián Álvarez gained a special status after winning the World Cup in December with Argentina. The striker had the right to a bell next to one of the massage tables to call the masseuses whenever he felt the need for treatment.
