The vice-president for the financial department of Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa’s list of directors of FC Porto, João Rafael Koehler – who ‘inherits’ the place occupied until now by the former minister and president of the Porto municipality, Fernando Gomes – has “ the same degree of concern” regarding the club’s accounts that it had four years ago. But, this time as responsible for the portfolio, he considers that the club “does not have a very serious financial problem, but it does have a very serious treasury problem”.
Adding that SAD’s CFO will be José Fernando Figueiredo – linked to the genesis of mutual guarantee and having become president of Banco de Fomento during its launch phase – Koehler has already established the ‘road book’ to get the club out of the troubles it is facing. have been demonstrating for several years.
