At the end of an event that traveled along the Douro, the boat in which the president of FC Porto was traveling stopped in front of the Ribeira pier, where a crowd of fans was waiting for him, many of whom were from the Super Dragões fan base. Pinto da Costa then took the microphone.
“I applied at a good time. There was no need to make buses available to anyone to fill our city. In difficult times, you are always with FC Porto. That’s why I have you all in my heart. They are a lever for me, to fight for our club, by those who try to offend you. We are all few for FC Porto”, he stated.
“We are always together defending our club. My passion for FC Porto is not for today, nor is it marked with a limit for four years from now. It is for a lifetime, which you, some of whom suffer greatly, have because of your love. We will not give up. We will all have to fill Avenida dos Aliados together”, he added.
“FC Porto is eternal and Until we die we will carry the club in our hearts. I, on the day that happens, will carry you all in my heart. You are often treated badly and persecuted, but you always say that you are here for FC Porto. I hope I can give you many more joys than what we have experienced. This is only possible if we are all together,” he said.
“Those who want to come to FC Porto with the aim of doing business, we dismiss. We don’t want them with us. Those who love FC Porto, we want everyone to be united, like you, who in all fields of the country teach many gentlemen a lesson on what it means to love FC Porto.
