Bento, Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper, is the only one considered to compete with Sommer between the Nerazzurri’s posts
It seems to increase Inter’s fixation with Bento, Athletico Paranaense’s goalkeeper, who was, at the beginning of the season, associated with Benfica, before the Eagles decided to sign Trubin. According to the Gazzetta dello Sportthe structure of the Italian champion has the 24-year-old goalkeeper as the only figure who can compete with Yann Sommer in goal.
The Swiss has performed at a great level between the team’s posts, but he only has one year left on his contract and Bento is chosen for that transition. «Bento pulverized all the competition in the analysis of nerazzurri», says the Italian newspaper, which even states that «Inter wants Bento, no one else».
Hiring Bento would cost something like 20 million euros, and the competition that is felt is fierce, above all, says the Gazzetta, by Premier League clubs. If they don’t win the race for the player, Inter will opt, says the same article, “for smaller solutions”, which would only serve as Sommer’s replacement.
Bento has a release clause valued at 60 million euros, but 20 million will be the amount needed for the goalkeeper to leave.
