AVS showed a very high efficiency rate and, as such, got the better of Paços de Ferreira (0-4), at the Capital do Móvel Stadium. A preponderant result for Jorge Costa’s men in the fight to climb to the top tier of Portuguese football.

Both teams entered the field in a strong 4-3-3 formation, with one athlete occupying a deeper area in the middle. On the group side of the house, it was Luiz Carlos who played this role, being the pendulum of the construction. In the other face of the coinFábio Pacheco was chosen, as a result of his ability to pass short and long.

The clash started frantically, with both teams having eyes on in their respective opposing goals. However, when aiming at the target, the aim was not particularly fine-tuned. Let Gorby say that he tried, on multiple occasions, shots from mid-range.

The opening goal ended up arriving in the 28th minute, through Talles Wander. The Brazilian entered the initial options to the detriment of goalscorer Nenê, who saw the red card in the last match, against FC Porto. The opportunity was well taken advantage of, as the young player made the most of Luís Silva’s cushioning of the ball. The first goal for the team, in their sixth match.

The visitors continued to press forward, seeking to achieve a more relaxed result. If the first half had no more incidents, the second was quite different. Following an excellent save from Jeimes against Stênio’s attempt, John Mercado appeared in the right place at the right time, finishing effectively, from an advantageous position.

The Ecuadorian’s individual record did not end there. At 65′, Stênio, a great player in this game, tabulated with a teammate and, later, served the winger, who only had to touch the ball towards the deserted goal. Certainly one of the easiest goals of his career.

A final ax reached the final stretch of the dispute, with Yair Mena doing the I like the foot, coming from the substitutes bench. Babatunde Akinsola, following a quick transition, bypassed Jeimes. Later, without showing any selfishness, he served the Colombian, who headed the ball very coolly.

With this triumph, the Vila das Aves team stands alongside Nacional, in the heated battle for second rank. Already the beavers they remain in sixth place in the league table, with 62 points.
