The blue and white administration has already met, this week, with members of André Villas-Boas’ team in order to publicize the most relevant dossiers of Sociedade Anónima Desportiva (SAD). The elected president only takes office, as the club’s top leader, on Tuesday and only takes over SAD at the end of the month, but the transition of power, in the main ongoing business – such as the agreement with Ithaka, or the Academy in Maia -, it has already started.
André Villas-Boas intended to assume the presidency of SAD as soon as possible, but the commercial companies code requires that the general meeting of shareholders be scheduled 21 days in advance after taking office at the club. However, according to JN, Pereira da Costa, the financial administrator chosen by the winner of the elections, has already met with members of the SAD, and there will be another meeting this Thursday. Until yesterday, the possibility of a current administrator resigning from his position was ruled out, which could allow Pereira da Costa to be co-opted into the current Board of Directors.
According to what was possible, the work meetings have gone well and the main topics on the table were the deal with Ithaka – for the commercial exploitation of the stadium – and the Academy. Work in Maia has already begun and, although Villas-Boas prefers the Olival option, JN knows that a meeting with the project’s architect, Manuel Salgado, was suggested to the winning list so that they could find out about the work.
