Samsung Galaxy S24 does not “impress” in photography and is far from the DxOMark Top 10 – Equipment

After evaluating the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which “shone” on the screen, but fell short of expectations in photography, the DxOMark experts have already tested the capabilities of the standard version of the smartphone line which Samsung launched in January.

Altogether, the Galaxy S24 managed to achieve a score of 133, which places it in 40th position in the ranking of cameras on DxOMark smartphones. In the list dedicated to premium models, the smartphone came in fourth place.

Remember that the Galaxy S24 is equipped with a rear camera configuration led by a 50 MP sensor, accompanied by a 12 MP ultra-wide lens and a 10 MP telephoto lens.

According to experts, In photography, the smartphone presents some improvements compared to previous generation modelsbut there is room for improvement in video capture.

You Exposure levels are balanced across all test conditions and, thanks to Samsung’s HDR technology, it was possible to obtain images with pleasant contrast in indoor and brighter scenarios.

Some were recorded limitations in the autofocus system. DxOMark indicates that it was possible to notice difficulties in capturing in busier scenes with a high dynamic range or in low lighting conditions.

Furthermore, the images captured had higher levels of noise compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra or even the standard model in the Galaxy S23 line.

In video mode, the Galaxy S24 managed capture videos with an adequate level of exposure and color in most test conditions, although with instabilitysimilar to what they found in the Ultra version of the smartphone, as well as several errors in autofocus.
