Samsung launches Galaxy M55 5G and M15 5G in Brazil with 50 MP camera and more; see the price

In an event held this Wednesday morning (27), the Samsung launched the new Galaxy M55 5G and M15 5G in the Brazilian market.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G

With a design reminiscent of members of the Galaxy A line, the Samsung Galaxy M55 draws attention for being thinner than the previous generation, but it continues to be made of polycarbonate to maintain a more affordable price.

The smartphone has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, which has FHD+ resolution and support for a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

This panel has an integrated digital reader and maximum brightness of up to 1,000 nits. The available colors are light green and dark blue.

To deliver good performance in daily use, the Galaxy M55 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, and it works with variants that deliver up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.

In connectivity, the smartphone has 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC for contactless payments with Samsung Pay. The intermediary also stands out for delivering stereo sound.

In cameras, the Galaxy M55 has a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide sensor and a macro sensor with an additional 2 MP. On the other hand, selfies are guaranteed by the new 50 MP front sensor.

Completing the set is the 5,000 mAh battery, with support for fast charging of up to 45W, and Android 14 running under the One UI 6.1 interface.

Samsung promises up to four Android updates and five years of security updates for new members of the Galaxy M line.

Another smartphone announced by Samsung is the Galaxy M15 5G. It is a cheaper option that shares some specifications with the A15 5G and features a polycarbonate finish.

The screen is a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED with FHD+ resolution and 90 Hz rate, and there is a waterdrop notch to accommodate the selfie camera.

The chipset is the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus and it works with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

The available colors are gray, light blue and dark blue.

On the rear set of cameras, we have a 50 MP main sensor, a 5 MP ultrawide sensor and a 2 MP macro sensor. On the other hand, selfies are guaranteed by the 13 MP sensor.

The smartphone is dual-SIM and has a 5G connection, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, a fingerprint reader on the side and a P2 port for wired headphones.

Completing the set is the 6,000 mAh battery, with support for 25W charging, and the Android 14 operating system running under the One UI 6.1 interface.
