Samsung’s new generations of foldable smartphones will be officially presented in July, at the brand’s summer Unpacked event.

Since the beginning of the year, the new series have been the target of several rumors pointing out the news. But the most recent rumor goes in the opposite direction and indicates what will not change with the new Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 models. It seems that Samsung wants to maintain the same support for fast charging on both terminals.

45-watt fast charging will not be included

According to the MySmartPrice website, Samsung will not change the fast charging of the two new foldables and will maintain support for 25 watts. This information contradicts a previous rumor that suggested that the models would have 45 watt fast charging.

The well-known website supports its information on the Chinese certification website 3C, on which it was able to discover the new folding models. On this platform, 25 watt charging is indicated for both foldables.

According to the same source, wireless charging will also remain the same, limited to 15 watts.

After the Galaxy S24 Ultra gained 45-watt fast charging for its 5000 mAh battery, it was expected that at least the new Galaxy Z Fold6 would have the same premium support.

Samsung will have followed another path, keeping this specification at the same value as the previous generation.

However, previously released rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip6 could hit the market with a larger 4000 mAh battery.

We will have to wait until July to catch up on all the news. Until the new models arrive, you can always take advantage of the small 4% discount promotion on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, currently available on Amazon Spain.
