Samsung announced this Tuesday (26) that the Galaxy Book 4 family and the recent Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) will arrive in Brazil in April. At least three models of notebooks and two versions of the tablet will be brought to the country, which already have Pre-registration Plus available for purchase on the brand’s website — interested parties who purchase the vouchers can receive discounts of R$200 to R$1,700, depending on the product.

Galaxy Book 4 and Tab S6 Lite (2024) arrive in Brazil in April

In the statement released by the giant, the first details of the technical specifications of the Brazilian models and the debut date of the devices are confirmed. The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, the Galaxy Book 4 Pro and the Galaxy Book 4 360 will go on sale here from April 17th, while the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) arrives next Monday, on April 1st. April — and it’s no lie.

As with other recent launches, Samsung is offering Pre-Registration Plus, a voucher that can be purchased in the period just before the launch to obtain additional discounts when purchasing one of the devices. In the case of laptops, users pay R$299 in advance, thus receiving a price cut that varies according to the model: there is a R$1,700 discount for the Book 4 Ultra, R$1,200 for the Book 4 Pro and R$ 500 for Book 4 360.

At the time of writing this article, Pre-Registration Plus for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) was not yet available, but the offer was detailed in the advertisement — when paying R$49, buyers receive up to R$200 off when purchasing one of the device variants.

Registration and purchase can be done until April 28th in the case of notebooks, and until April 21st for tablets, also giving the right to an equivalent balance valid for one year for other purchases at the Samsung store, in the case of purchasing the product in pre-registration. This means that the R$299 paid for the discount on the Galaxy Book 4 will be converted into a voucher on the company’s website, for example.

As for the specifications, the images released by the company suggest that, at this initial moment, we will have the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra in the most powerful version with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 mobile graphics card, the Galaxy Book 4 Pro with CPU Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, and the Galaxy Book 4 360 with Intel Core 7 150U chip. In turn, the new Tab S6 Lite would arrive with or without 4G connectivity.

The notebooks were revealed in January during CES 2024 and bring notable improvements compared to the previous generation, with emphasis on Intel Core Ultra chips and the adoption of Dynamic AMOLED 2X screens with a 120 Hz refresh rate across the entire line. The tablet debuts globally this Thursday (28) as an update to the original Tab S6 Lite launched in 2020, bringing as its only novelty the use of the Exynos 1280 chip, the same solution adopted in the Galaxy A53.

Prices are still unknown, but don’t expect very affordable prices, at least for computers: the cheapest of the models, the Galaxy Book 4 360 starts at US$1,099.99 abroad, around R$5,480 in direct conversion.
