Instagram is working on a new feature, focused on improving the Reels recommendation system. With the new system, users will be able to receive personalized content based on the tastes of two users.

In other words, the user can combine their Reels tastes with those of another user on the platform, and create a personalized feed with content from both, for faster access to new themes and content.
Bear in mind that the functionality is still being tested, and for now, it is unknown whether it will be something that will see the light of day, or will just be launched as a concept. At the same time, the company has not yet left many details on how the Blend system will work.
This new feature appears to be part of Instagram’s plans to launch new features that can compete with what is found on TikTok. Currently, the Bytedance platform does not have this type of functionality, which could give Instagram a competitive advantage.
