Microsoft recently started making Moment 5 available for Windows 11, through update KB5034848 at the end of February. However, there are still users who are reporting problems with this update – even more so now that it is available for more systems.

The KB5035942 update, which began to be provided to everyone on Windows 11 last week, brought the Moment 5 news to the system. However, it also came with several associated problems.

Users report that, after installing the update, they are experiencing several issues with the system. These include update installation failures, startup errors and random crashes.

From the Microsoft support forums, several users report that the update is blocking 98% during its installation, preventing it from progressing. Restarting the system only causes the update to be rolled back.

Some users also report that, after installing KB5035942, the system has problems starting up, starting recovery mode automatically, or proceeding to error screens.

A user reports that, after the update, the system just boots to a black screen, without being able to log in to the account or session. Some users also report that the desktop background is black and cannot be changed.

Despite the reports, so far Microsoft has not confirmed any flaw with KB5035942.
