Multi launches four new chromebooks in Brazilian retail

Chromebooks are gradually becoming the standard for computerization and access to technology in Brazilian schools, and Multi is the newest manufacturer to add weight to this premise: the retail company announced today (24) the arrival of four new models of the platform of notebooks designed in partnership with Google. Acer also made a more similar announcement earlier today.

The PC914, PC915, PC918 and PC924 chromebooks come to add more robustness and technology offerings to the educational system, with models bringing remote blocking capabilities, systemic lightness for carrying out student tasks and teacher demands and, in some cases, even devices 2-in-1, with computers that turn into tablets thanks to 360º hinges.

The four models have similar configurations, with the PC924 being the most robust: according to Multi, it has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, powered by an Intel Celeron processor. The operating system, naturally, is ChromeOS. They all have an enhanced Google Education platform license, so school applications are ready to use as soon as you turn on the devices.

According to Fernando Nogueira, Product Director at Grupo Multi:

“At Multi, we believe that solid partnerships are essential for developing technologies that really make a difference. Our commitment is to offer affordable and quality products, so that everyone can have access to resources that boost learning and digital inclusion. The Chromebook line is an example of this vision, designed to meet the specific needs of the education sector without compromising security or quality”.

The statement does not expressly mention this, but it is very likely that ChromeOS is installed in its most up-to-date version. Recently, TudoCelular detailed some of its recent updates, such as greater privacy options for microphone and camera.

Multi did not provide any specific availability date for the new models, but given the company’s history, it shouldn’t be long before they start appearing in stores and on the retailer’s official website.
