Samsung may be about to revolutionize video AI: news is coming!

Galaxy AI has brought many interesting Artificial Intelligence (AI) features to the user. However, developments promise to continue. So much so that TM Roh, from Samsung Mobile, suggested in February that more news was on the way.

In this sense, the well-known information leaker Ice Universe has news. According to him, it is expected that “the main functional innovation of One UI 6.1.1 will be video AI”.

Remember that One UI 6.1.1 concerns Samsung’s next major software update. As Tech Radar points out, Ice Universe does not clarify exactly what “video AI” means in this case.

Still, it is expected that the designation concerns the generation of original videos using Artificial Intelligence. It is also possible that the leaker was referring to an AI-based video recording assistance mode.

Out of curiosity, this new rumor launched by Ice Universe comes shortly after an announcement made by Samsung itself. As you can see in the post below, made on X, the South Korean brand suggested that new features are being developed.

Right now, Galaxy AI already offers some interesting AI features. From now on, “Generative Edit”, which allows the user to resize objects or change their position within an image.

Another feature that has pleased many fans is “Instant Slow-Mo”. As the name suggests, it allows users to make their recordings videos in slow motion.

The publication made by Ice Universe, which often leaks information about Samsung, raises some questions. Although this raises several possibilities, the main one would be possible competition with Sora from OpenAI. If this hypothesis is confirmed, it would be possible to make creations similar to those seen in the video below.

It is important to highlight that, at the moment, all that is known are rumors. However, as Tech Radar reports, it is possible that Samsung will use the Galaxy Unpacked event to talk about this intriguing AI feature. Apparently, this will take place in July.

If the “video AI” feature ever arrives, it should come to the Galaxy S24 series in the first instance. However, according to the same source of information, it is possible that it will also reach the Galaxy S23 series.
