“I had an accident at the waterfall, it was very serious and scary at the time. We were an hour away from the city, so we ran to the best hospital. I remember Antonio Fagundes arriving with flowers at the hospital to see me, with endless delicacy. We were a very big unit, we had a lot of love to do this soap opera”, he explains..

Although the moment was quite tense, Isabel Fillardis fondly remembers the message that her performance represented, as, at the time, there were not a variety of black actresses working in prime time, as happened to her.

“At the time I had no idea what was actually happening in my life. Not with today’s eyes, not with importance, not with words like representation. So today, more than yesterday, I understand the importance and greatness to be there, playing that role”, says Isabel.

In recent weeks, the character has gained repercussion due to her relationship with Damião, the role of Shaman. In the next chapters, she will marry him against her family’s wishes and, at the same time, will lose her father.
