A Rasmus Hojlund’s interview with a Manchester United fan channel provoked a ridiculous reaction that led to death threats and a police investigation. Hojlund spoke to The United Stand last month, fulfilling a promise the Danish striker made following his €72 million move to Old Trafford in the summer.

Several of Hojlund’s teammates were unhappy with his decision to be interviewed by the channel’s owner and presenter, Mark Goldbridge, because United players were criticized.

The United Stand has since received death threats warning Goldbridge that he was ‘a dead man walking’ and threatening assault if he turned up at Old Trafford.

Social media messages mentioned other employees and the exact location of the studio. The police were called on Tuesday and security was reinforced. Greater Manchester Police told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Officers spoke to the victim and relevant information was passed on to police. Investigations are ongoing,” they said.

United Stand is the club’s most-watched fan channel, gaining a global audience of 1.8 million on YouTube and 2.3 million followers on X since it launched a decade ago.
