Mother and son were injured in an accident between a motorcycle and a truck in the center of Curvelo. The incident ended in the early hours of Monday (18). The two vehicles would collide crosswise at the intersection between Afonso Pena and Luiz Euzébio streets.
According to information from the Military Police, the car was found in a garage at Residencial Lourdes. When questioned, the owner admitted involvement in the accident and said he left the scene to protect his integrity, as a crowd had formed. He also reported that he spoke with the victims. The driver, who refused to take a breathalyzer test, was taken to the Civil Police station to provide clarification.
According to the PM, when the military arrived, they found a team from the Fire Department helping the victims. The 37-year-old woman had an open leg fracture. Her son, 16, had several bruises and a cut on his knee. Both were taken to the Imaculada Conceição hospital.
Civil Police experts were at the scene of the accident and released the motorcycle to an acquaintance of the victim.
