The private helicopter that crashed on Saturday night (16) into a dam in Candói, in the central region of Paraná, was located this Monday (18) for inspection.

In a note, the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) informed that the causes of the accident will be investigated by the 5th Regional Aviation Accident Investigation and Prevention Service (Seripa V), regional body of the Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (Cenipa).
The removal of the helicopter is being carried out in a joint action between the Fire Department and workers hired by Parteka. A team from Seripa V is on its way to the location.
The aircraft, owned by the businessman, was in good condition. According to the Brazilian Aeronautical Registry (RAB), the helicopter has two seats and is authorized for night flights.
“The conclusion of the investigation will take as short a time as possible, always depending on the complexity of the occurrence and, also, the need to discover possible contributing factors”, states the FAB.
Couple was rescued with the help of members of the public
The Fire Department explained that the couple was flying over the flooded Salto Santiago region when the aircraft crashed and sank about 40 meters from the bank, around 8 pm.
There is a condominium nearby and people helped rescue Marcos and his wife with boats, according to the community brigade.
The team said the accident happened in a shallow part of the dam.
