Interior designer, Dante Lapertosa is a recognized professional, responsible for signing numerous projects. Amidst lines and scribbles, he reveals that he also always liked putting his ideas on paper and turning them into words. “Writing comes a long way; I always wrote something”, recalls Lapertosa, who launches, this Saturday (27), in Belo Horizonte, his first literary work, the book “Ser Livre Viver Leve”, which brings together texts written by him over 20 years, and also illustrations made by the author himself.
According to Lapertosa, the work brings together around 70 texts. He says that “Ser Livre Viver Leve” was born with the “concern of doing something ‘down to earth’, without much special effect, with simple, direct language”, as he explains, with the aim of helping people. “It (the book) lies between self-knowledge and spirituality”, he defines.
The texts, explains the author, were written not with the purpose of being published in a work. “I have worked in a spiritual fraternity for many years, and the aim is to help people. And we notice a lot of sadness, a lot of lack of balance, of harmony in life. I started writing some texts to open the mediumistic meetings on Mondays. This was for 20 years. They were always texts that brought hope, a sense of internal change. People really wanted these texts, but I never gave them to them, because they were made for me to read,” he recalls.
After a few years, and with the encouragement of a niece, Dante Lapertosa decided to release a book. “To help people and also get back to my writing talent,” he says. And he began to search his files for texts he had already written. “Most of the selection was mine; it was an almost chronological choice”, observes the author, who is also responsible for the illustrations. “I designed it, including the cover”, he emphasizes.
All proceeds from the sale of the book “Ser Livre Viver Leve” will be donated to the social works of Fraternidade Judith Amélia, in the capital of Minas Gerais. “We are always looking for a way to help the fraternity’s social work. We found this opportunity to launch the book a good pretext”, says Dante Lapertosa.
