When military police officers were searching for the man, the father himself took the agents to the presence of his son, a resident of Rio das Pedras, where the crime took place.
According to the police, Kayque first denied having killed the young woman. However, when police officers alerted him that he had been filmed entering the victim’s apartment, he confessed to the crime. The 18-year-old said he discarded the blade in the street.
He told the police that he committed the crime because of the recent discovery of the victim’s pregnancy. Kayque reported that the girl realized she was pregnant and told her he was her father. They were not in a serious relationship and were getting to know each other.
The young man admitted that he had Bought the blade a week before, and that he already had the intention of killing the victim with the razor. He claims he was working as a barber.
In a statement at the Homicide Police Station, a friend of the victim reported that Kaylane claimed to have been attacked by Kayque, and that the two argued a lot. According to the friend, he asked the young woman to abort the baby.
Victim was found by 11-year-old sister
Kaylane Vitória Alves was found with a deep cut on her neck, inside her room, by her 11-year-old sister.
Kaylane was home alone on Saturday night while her mother and sisters were at a celebration. At that moment, Kayque went to the house to meet the young woman.
The family did not know about the pregnancy, and suspect that she had been attacked by him before.
A blood test will be carried out at the Legal Medical Institute to prove the pregnancy. This Monday (18), her body was still at the IML. There is no information about the burial.
The man was sent to the prison system.
