It was a year ago this Tuesday that Rui Nabeiro left the country in mourning.
At the age of 91, he left and left a huge legacy and also immense nostalgia for all those who loved him.
A year later, the life and work of Rui Nabeiro will be told in detail in a series, entitled “Senhor Rui – Um Homem do Povo”.
The story takes place in Campo Maior, in Alentejo – the birthplace of the founder of the Nabeiro Group -, as expected, and was recorded in various locations in the region, such as the coffee factory, the farm, the school, among others. .
The series arrives in the Portuguese, this Tuesday, via TVI, in two episodes.
The esteemed and beloved Rui Nabeiro will be played by José Raposo. The actor is joined by other well-known names, such as Carla Andrino, Ana Guiomar, Afonso Lagarto, Sara Barradas, Marco Delgado, Luís Simões, Tiago Teotónio Pereira, Diogo Infante, Joaquim Nicolau.
The synopsis reads: “The dreamy boy, raised in rural Alentejo in the first years of the dictatorship, was also the skilled young man who made it in smuggling, the visionary man who expanded his small coffee business internationally, the politician who created enemies and found himself facing justice, the man decorated as Commander, for never forgetting that wealth and power must serve the community.
