Daniel case: defendants are heard over player’s death and sentence could come out today

The former São Paulo player was found dead in a bush area in the same city where the trial is taking place. At the time of the crime, businessman Edison Brittes confessed to the murder. In a statement to the Police, he stated that he murdered Daniel because the player had tried to rape his wife, Cristiane Brittes, who is also responsible for the crime.

The prosecution showed videos of the police chief and the case investigator and maintained that the crime was committed by at least two people. Accused in the Daniel Case

In addition to Edson, who is responsible for triple homicide, concealment of a corpse, procedural fraud, corruption of a minor and five times for coercion during the process, six other people are accused of having participated in the player’s death.
