Iberdrola opens its channels for participation in the General Shareholders’ Meeting today

Iberdrola opens its participation channels today in the General Shareholders’ Meeting, scheduled to be held on the day May 17th, a Friday, first call.

The company calls the meeting almost two months before it takes place and offers a wide range of participation channels so that its shareholders can exercise their rights, with the aim of continuing to offer an innovative, accessible and close assembly, in which they have all the facilities to participate.

Shareholders who are members of the OLA Shareholders Club They will receive a company card with a personalized QR code to access the Votojunta.iberdrola.com website and vote quickly and easily. If they use the cards sent by the depository entities, they will be able to access the same link with their electronic signature or simply with their number of shares or their OLA Shareholders Club password. At the same time, the electronic address [email protected] was created for shareholders who prefer to send their signed cards through this channel.

Another option is to exercise the right to vote by telephone, by calling the toll-free number 900 100 019, or using the traditional postal service, sending the signed card to PO Box 1.113, 48080 Bilbao.

Iberdrola is the first Spanish company to allow its shareholders to exercise their voting rights through instant messaging systems. To vote through this channel, share holders will simply have to send an image of their Remote Voting Form signed remotely by the Whatsapp (to the number +34 639 000 639) or by Telegram (to the Iberdrola Assembly account).

Furthermore, the company made available to its shareholders its in-person service points in Bilbao, Madrid, Valencia, Valladolid and Zaragoza. In all of them, it will be possible to delegate, vote and withdraw a participation gift from the May 8th until May 16th.

All shareholders who wish to exercise their proxy representation or remote voting rights must request it through one of the channels mentioned above before 23:59 on May 16th, the day before the meeting.

Shareholders and representatives who wish to attend virtually must register between 8:00 am and 10:15 am on May 17th (expected date for the Assembly). To speed up your registration on the day of the Assembly, you can register in advance through the Participation Portal on the website. Those who prefer to attend in person must reserve a seat through the Shareholders Office or the website before 10:15 on the day of the Meeting.

In addition to the gift to be delivered at shareholder service points and the draw for 30 electric bicycles for those who participate through from the corporate website or telephone channel, the company proposed, for the third consecutive year, a dividend per participation of 0.005 euros gross per share (one euro gross for every 200 shares) to encourage participation. If a quorum of at least 70% of the share capital is reached and the Meeting approves this incentive, the company will pay this amount to all its shareholders entitled to participate in the Meeting. Iberdrola is the only company in the Ibex 35 that rewards its shareholders in this way at the company’s most important event.

The participation dividend is part of a concept of a more participatory, sustainable and unrestricted Assembly. All shareholders can participate by virtue of being shareholders, as long as they have at least one share registered in their name on May 10th.

 Assembleia permanente  

In addition to participating in the Assembly, the company promotes permanent information and continuous participation of shareholders throughout the year through the Shareholders’ Office contact channels and the interactive application for members of the OLA Shareholders’ Club, among other initiatives.

Furthermore, due to the convening of the Assembly, an immersive space will be created on the company’s corporate website Shareholder Month, which will include different content, such as interviews with members of the management team, as well as links to legally required documentation and channels for participation in the Assembly.

As a novelty, this year it is also planned to organization of face-to-face meetings with the board on dates close to the Assembly, which will be announced on the company’s corporate website.
