Video: Reporter records accident in PR and discovers that the fatal victim was his own daughter

Reporter Donatto Candido, 66 years old, resident of Faxinal, northern Paraná, discovered that the victim of one of the accidents he was reporting on was his own daughter. He was covering the collision between a car and a scooter on the PRC-279 highway, on Friday night (22), and was in tears when he found out about the information. Kamilly Vitória Cândido was 21 years old and a Biomedicine student.

Donatto did a live on Facebook, on his news profile on the social network. He was narrating the episode when he approached the location and saw Kamilly next to the motorcycle he was riding. “Guys, I ask all of you to keep my family in your prayers. An accident with my daughter here near Coamo. She was leaving the job and was happy because she had fixed the job. Unfortunately, she crashed her motorcycle, a Biz, head-on with a Palio [modelo do carro]. And today I see my daughter’s body lying on the floor.”he lamented.

Despite the commotion, Donatto continued to broadcast everything. “I see my daughter’s body lying there, waiting for the IML (Legal Medium Institute) to arrive. I was reprimanded by the police, to preserve the place. I wanted to get close to my daughter once again. This is how it happens, people. Lack of structure, a lack of sensitivity on the part of the Highway Police. I’m a father, I’m not curious. I had no right to get close to my daughter. Nothing I would do. In another recording, Donatto continued to communicate the case, with a visibly shaken voice. “This is a very sad moment, one that we don’t like to talk about, we don’t like to do. But it’s a life. According to the State Highway Police (PRE) bulletin, Kamilly was leaving the company and entered the highway when he collided head-on with a passenger car, on a stretch of single lane, at the exit to Mauá da Serra. The place was dark at the time of the accident, and because of this, the police were unable to say which driver invaded the other’s lane.

The 39-year-old driver of the car was rescued by the Integrated Emergency Trauma Care Service (Siate) and taken to the municipal hospital.

Kamilly, just 21 years old, studied Biomedicine and worked as a harvester at the company Coamo, in Faxinal. “She said she was very happy, because, thank God, she was going to spend the weekend working. She was a docile girl, everyone liked her a lot, she was always very smiling”declared Donatto Cândido to g1.

Family and friends mourn

On social media, the young woman’s family and friends lamented the tragedy. “My condolences, Donatto! I’m very sorry! She was a wonderful girl!”wrote a profile. “Uncle, my condolences. According to information from Donatto, Kamilly’s wake took place on Saturday (23), at the Faxinal Methodist Church. The burial took place on Sunday morning (24), at 10 am.
