Living Easter in Arcos de Valdevez
Initiatives and Activities for Children and Adults until April 5, 2024
To celebrate the Easter festivities, the Municipality of Arcuense presents a vast program, within the scope of the initiative “Experience Easter in Arcos de Valdevez” which includes religious and cultural celebrations and many entertainment and leisure initiatives and activities.
In March 29th and 30th the big initiative “Leave Da Casca and Come to Paço”at Paço de Giela.
In day March 30thWe have the “Easter Concert: Quartet Slavey (Bulgaria)”at the Barroco Interpretive Center, with free entry.
At the March 30that Porta do Mezio the initiative “Stories Coming from Heaven” – Observation of constellations with tales and legends.
In terms of religious ceremonies, on March 24th, the Blessing of the Palms. In day March 28th, the Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper – Washing of Feet and the Ecce Homo Procession. In day March 29th, the Celebration of the Passion of the Lord and Way of the Cross, by the Youth Ministry of Viana do Castelo. At the March 30th, the Easter Vigil at the Main Church. At the March 31st, the Eucharist of the Resurrection of the Lord, in the Main Church and the screening of the religious film “Cheia de Graça”in the Casa das Artes Auditorium, with free entry.
In April 2nd to 5th we have the “Holiday Workshops” at the Himalaya Creativity Workshops and the “Holidays with History” at the Paço de Giela.
In March 26th to 28thThe “Bunny Workshop”, at Casa das Artes/Municipal Library.
In day March 23We have the “Passion Concert”from the SCMA Senior University Choir and CMDAV Orchestra/Choir, at Igreja da Misericórdia, with free entry.
In order to mark this festive and religious season and respond to the needs of families during school holidays, providing joyful and fun moments, March 21 to April 5 Many moments and activities for children and families will take place in Arcos de Valdevez, in the various municipal cultural facilities.
