The team from the Colniza Civil Police Station arrested on Monday (25) the main perpetrator of the murder of Adimar Medeiros Rodrigues, 46 years old, a motorcycle taxi driver murdered last week in the city.
Information obtained by the police team indicated that the suspects were staying in a residence in the center of Colniza, also used as a drug sales point. Based on the survey, the civil police carried out investigations to verify the situation and, upon approaching the residence, they were able to see three people selling drugs inside the property, one of whom appeared to be carrying a firearm.
Faced with the flagrant state, the police entered the house and detained three adults. During the personal search and the residence, a backpack with a homemade weapon and ammunition, narcotics, packaging and precision scales were found. One of the detainees was identified as the main suspect in the motorcycle taxi driver’s murder.
According to delegate Lucas Pereira, the motivation for Adimar’s execution is related to drug trafficking in the region. “Now the Civil Police are investigating the involvement of the other two people who were giving the suspect ‘shelter’ at the residence”, he stressed.
The three detainees were taken to the Colniza Civil Police Station and charged with the crimes of drug trafficking, association for drug trafficking and possession of a firearm.
Adimar’s body was found on the morning of March 20, on Line G4, next to his motorcycle. The body had a puncture wound to the head.
The homicide suspect will be interrogated and the police investigation concluded in the coming days and forwarded to the Judiciary.
“The Civil Police have spared no effort to curb criminal activities related to drug trafficking and crimes against life, always aiming to maintain public order in the municipality of Colniza”, assured the municipal delegate.
