Antônio Arlindo da Silva, who was 38 years old, was murdered with three knife blows on the morning of this Thursday (28), after a disagreement with the suspect over who was paying or not for the drink they both consumed. Security cameras recorded the moment of the attack that resulted in death.
The crime occurred at around 8:30 am on Avenida Getúlio Vargas, in the Center, South Zone of Manaus, close to the Sheik Club, close to where the victim and the killer lived. The suspect fled after the murder.
According to the lieutenant of the 24th Community Interactive Company (CICOM), João Cleiusimar, the victim and the criminal were neighbors, they already had a disagreement, but they used to drink together in the bar near their house.
And this morning, the two were drinking, they had a disagreement and started a fight over who should pay the bill. The victim armed himself with a crowbar and the killer with a knife.
“They actually got into trouble and ended up taking the other’s life,” said the lieutenant. According to the military, the killer approached the victim and struck him first on the back and then two more on the abdomen. The victim fell lifeless.
People walking along the road were frightened by the action of the criminal, who walked away and took off his shirt, so as not to be identified. The body was removed to the Legal Medical Institute (IML).
According to the military police officer, the victim had already been convicted of murder. The Civil Police will investigate the crime. A police investigation will be opened at the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS) to begin investigations.
