The new president of the Assembly of the Republic, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, announced, this Thursday, that the program of the XXIV Constitutional Government will be delivered on April 10th. The debate on the document in the Assembly of the Republic will take place on April 11th and 12th.

“The 11th and 12th of April were already scheduled for the discussion of the Government Program, because we had the indication that the respective program will be presented on the 10th. And, therefore, the discussion in the Assembly of the Republic was scheduled for the 11th and 12th of April”, announced the leader of Parliament, at the end of a meeting of the first conference of leaders of the XVI legislature.

Composition of the Government. Marcelo welcomes Luís Montenegro today at 6pm

The Prime Minister-designate, Luís Montenegro, will present this Thursday to the President of the Republic, at 6pm, the composition of his minority Government, before taking office next Tuesday at the Ajuda National Palace.

Montenegro and the ministers of the XXIV Constitutional Government take office on Tuesday and the Secretaries of State two days later.
