The Itajaí Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) arrested two men accused of intimidating a witness to a murder. The police were investigating the death when one of the witnesses reported that she was being persecuted and threatened by the alleged perpetrator of the crime.

A machete was found in the car. In addition to resisting arrest, they tried to break cell phones. They were charged with the crime of coercion during the process, resistance, procedural fraud, dangerous driving and trespassing. One of the prisoners was also being sought due to a preventive detention order for drug trafficking.
According to police chief Eduardo Ferraz, the man is suspected of being the person responsible for the murder of a 37-year-old woman, shot to death on February 7, in front of her house, Rua João Emiliano da Silva, in the Cordeiros neighborhood, in Itajaí . The victim was killed alongside her husband.
