If no player wins the jackpot, the maximum prize goes to the next draw. Like a regular draw, if there are no maximum prize winners then the jackpot will continue to pass to the next until the maximum prize or jackpot limit is reached.
The jackpot limit increased from 230 to 240 million euros in July 2022.

According to data provided by Santa Casa da Misericórdia, the numbers that came out the most times during the 16 years that the contest has been in force are: 23 (199 times), 21 (196), 19 and 44 (195 times) and 50 (192 times). As for the stars, ‘bet’ on 3 (351 times) and 2 (347 times).
Statistics also show that the numbers 22, 46, 18, 33 and 41 should be avoided, which are the least popular since 2004. The stars to avoid, following the same reasoning, are 10, 11 and 12.
The biggest prize ever awarded in Portugal was 190 million euros, awarded to a bettor from Castelo Branco, in October 2014.
In total, since the creation of the draw, there have been 79 Portuguese people joining the euromillionaires club.
