Astarts this Monday, April 1st, the IRS delivery campaign for income obtained in 2023. Delivery, electronically, is similar to previous years, with many taxpayers expected to be covered by the automatic IRS.

As a rule, it is recommended that taxpayers do not submit the IRS in the first few days, so that any errors can be detected and corrected. Be that as it may, from today you can do it.

1. You can now submit the IRS, but don’t rush in

The president of the Tax Workers Union, Gonçalo Rodrigues, does not anticipate difficulties in the functioning of the tax machine with the delivery of the IRS declaration, but advises taxpayers not to focus on the beginning and end of the process.

Speaking to Lusa last week, the president of the STI considered that The ideal, for taxpayers, “is not to rush to the beginning or leave this declarative obligation until the end”.

2. How long do you have to submit the IRS?

Taxpayers have three months – from April 1st to June 30th – to submit the declaration of income earned in 2023 and, for Gonçalo Rodrigues, if people use this “long term” that they have at their disposal they will “certainly be able to submit the your IRS dematerialized, without major difficulties“.
