CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -By the end of the day on Monday, Cleveland will know if it’s the LSU Tigers or the Iowa Hawkeyes playing in the NCAA Women’s Final Four at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
While both schools are loaded with stars and superstars, it’s the Caitlin Clark effect that could turn a great event for the Cleveland into a massive one.
Both teams have been playing the Sweet 16 in the Albany, NY region.
According to CBS broadcasters, 50% of the tickets purchased for that region were made by fans and accounts based in Iowa.
In late February, Cleveland 19 worked with the ticket marketplace website Vivid Seats to see what tickets to the Cleveland Final Four were selling for.
At that time, even before March Madness had started, the average cost of a seat in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse was higher than any other previous Final Four.

As of 11:00 Monday morning the new average price is $326 for the Cleveland Final Four according to Vivid Seats.
The outcome of the game Monday night is also expected to have an impact on ticket prices come Tuesday.
If Iowa does so, prices are expected to increase even more to see the future #1 pick in the WNBA potentially play her last collegiate games.
