Conde D’Ervideira White 2022 awarded Gold

At the Mundus Vini Spring Tasting Competition, which took place in February, Conde D’Ervideira Branco 2022 received the gold medal for the second time.
It should be noted that only in this competition, it was the seventh time that he was on the podium

Ervideira has just won a Gold medal in the Mundus Vini Spring Tasting Competition with the Conde D’Ervideira White 2022 wine. This wine competition, which took place at the end of February in Germany, is one of the most prestigious internationally and one of the largest blind tastings in the wine sector, after being awarded Silver four times, a Gold medal once and Big Gold another, this Ervideira reference receives Gold again.

With the attribution of this award, Duarte Leal da Costa, Executive Director of Ervideira, highlighted: “Only 40% of wines are awarded in the Mundus Vini competition, and gold medals are only awarded to truly excellent wines. This victory represents for us the consistency of a wine over 22 consecutive Editions, which reinforces that, each time it goes to competition, it brings awards, representing quality and excellence for the consumer. Conde D’Ervideira Branco was awarded 28 times, in the 22 editions of awards for which it has already competed, making it a great source of pride for the Ervideira ‘family’ to have a wine in which every time we enter competitions, this wine is recognized”.

Conde D’Ervideira White 2022 comes from an Antão Vaz vineyard (Vinha IV), planted on schist soils on the Monte da Ribeira property, being a vineyard from 2000 that, since its inception, has given rise to wines of excellence. The grapes are harvested at night, left in cold skin maceration for around eight hours, cold decanted and immediately followed by fermentation in Hungarian oak barrels, where they age for six months, with battonage weekly.

The Executive Director of Ervideira also reinforces the pairing perfect for this wine: “We know well that two couples sitting at a table in a restaurant will choose different fish or meat dishes, which is why this wine is intended to accompany the most varied dishes, which can clearly range from fresh seafood to roasted meat with strong seasoning. . This is the great virtue of Conde D’Ervideira Reserva White, being a superior wine, capable of accompanying the most diverse moments”.

Conde D’Ervideira White 2022 is available in the various Ervideira stores (Lisbon, Évora and Monsaraz) with an RRP of €14, as well as in the main wine stores in Portugal.
