WhatsApp crashed? App presents instability

WhatsApp was down for a few minutes this Wednesday (3).

The app’s groups, as well as private conversations and its two functions (mobile and web) stopped working for a period of time.

Using the Downdetector tool, it is possible to see that between 2:51 pm and 3:06 pm, more than 28 thousand failure notifications were sent to the WhatsApp application. On X (formerly Twitter) users reported that Instagram was also experiencing problems.

In 15 minutes (from 3:10 pm to 3:25 pm), the sending of problem reports on WhatsApp Busines was 146%; in the WhatsApp application, 177%; and on Instagram, 254%.

Repercussion

On social networks, several users took advantage of the period with the application offline to joke about the situation.
