Car collides with truck on Avenida do Turismo, in Manaus

A driver, whose identity was not revealed, was trapped in the wreckage of his own car after crashing into a truck stopped on Avenida do Turismo, West Zone of Manaus, this Tuesday morning (23). There is no information about his health status.

The accident was caught by another driver, who filmed the moment of the collision.

At the time, the car was traveling towards Ponta Negra and, when passing through a curve, it ended up hitting the back of the truck, which was stopped.

In a statement, the Amazonas Military Fire Department (CBMAM) said that four company vehicles were moved to the location to treat the injured.

Upon arrival, the firefighters found that the victim from the car had already been removed by other drivers and received first aid treatment, being taken by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) team to a hospital unit in the capital.

The Municipal Institute of Urban Mobility (IMMU) was called in to control vehicle traffic.
