Beef arroba prices are supported in most livestock markets, while producers continue their strategy of maintaining cattle supply. In parallel, slaughterhouses continue to purchase animals at these prices to meet external demand, which is growing.

The Cepea/B3 cattle indicator ended Tuesday (23/4) with an increase of 1.28%, at R$ 233.95 per arroba.

In the assessment of consultancy Agrifatto, Mato Grosso recorded the biggest increase in the price of live cattle yesterday, with a gain of 0.4% in the daily comparison, to R$ 214.70.

Regarding the exportsdata from the federal government indicate that, in the third week of this month, shipments of fresh beef reached 51.62 thousand tons, a weekly expansion of 4.01% and 76.77% higher than the result for the same period last year .

“With the strong sends, the estimate for April/24 was readjusted upwards once again, with the expectation that 203.50 thousand tons will be shipped of fresh beef by the end of this month, which would mean a historic record for exports of meat Brazilian beef“, stated the consultancy.

At B3, however, all futures contracts registered declines. The maturity for May/24 was quoted at R$ 233.40 per arroba, a decrease of 1.27% in the daily comparison.
