Two Portuguese killed in “serious accident” with bus in Namibia

DTwo Portuguese people died and several were injured this Wednesday in a road accident 400 kilometers from the capital of Namibia, Windoek.

The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs when News by the Minutewhich states that it was a “serious accident” with a tourist bus carrying, among other nationalities, 22 Portuguese tourists.

There are still “several injured” among the Portuguese.

Speaking to the Lusa agency, the Secretariat of State for Communities said that the degree of severity of the injuries is not yet known.

The injured were transported to the local hospital and their families are being contacted by the Portuguese Embassy in Windhoek, he said.

The group of Portuguese tourists, from the north of the country, traveled through a travel agency, added José Cesário, stressing that he has been monitoring the situation.
