A young man, aged 20, died and his girlfriend, aged 19, was shot on Wednesday night (24), in the Veneza II neighborhood, in Ipatinga. The couple was on a bicycle when they were hit by gunfire.
According to the police report, upon arriving at the scene, the military found the young woman was still conscious and Gustavo Liberato Silva was unconscious.
Witnesses told the police that they heard the sound of gunshots, and that they saw a motorcyclist firing shots and then fleeing.
After being hit, the young woman ran away limping, and Gustavo fell to the ground.
A SAMU team arrived at the scene and confirmed the boy’s death, as he was hit in the right arm and ribs.
The young woman was taken to Márcio Cunha Hospital, with punctures on her right leg, back and face.
According to reports obtained by the police, the young woman had a disagreement with a woman in the city center. The police searched for this woman, but she has not yet been found to provide clarification.
According to other witnesses, Gustavo was involved in a love triangle with the young woman affected and another woman.
Gustavo’s body was released to a local funeral home.
The police continue to investigate the authorship and motivation of the crimes.
