The profile ‘4 Silver Sextet’ held this Thursday (25) a protest against the death of the dog Joca, a golden retriever five-year-old who died during an air transport carried out by Gol.

The group of animals is from Fortaleza and is made up of 10 animals: a poodle, five golden retrievers, three cats and a mixed breed dog.

On video, which already has more than three million viewssix golden retriever dogs, two more dogs and a cat wear signs that, together, complete the sentence: “We are not baggage. We are the love of someone’s life. Justice for Joca!”

“We cannot leave what happened to our friend @jocagoldenr unpunished. @voegoloficial @voegoloficial needs to be penalized so that this never happens to any other defenseless being again”, says the text on the page @sexteto4patas.

The page has more than 250 thousand followers on Instagram alone.

In addition to charging for actions, the profile also provides support to Joca’s tutor, João Fantazzini. “I know that nothing will bring our friend back and how outraged, devastated and sad your daddy @jfantazzini is about all of this, but we are here to support you in whatever you need,” the post adds.

Understand the case

Joca, aged five, died this Monday (22) during air transport by Gollog, a Gol company, after an error at the destination.

The animal should have been taken from Guarulhos International Airport, in São Paulo, to Sinop (MT), however, it was placed on a plane that boarded for Fortaleza (CE). He returned to Guarulhos, but he arrived dead at the airport. The journey, which should take up to two and a half hours, it took almost eight hours.

This Wednesday, Silvio Costa Filho (Republicans), Minister of Ports and Airportsannounced that the department will investigate, together with the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac)the death of the golden retriever.

According to the minister, the initiative of the federal authorities seeks to clarify the circumstances of the dog’s death as soon as possible. The two bodies also announced a working group to create national rules for the transport of pets.

Furthermore, the São Paulo Civil Police opened an investigation to investigate the circumstances of the dog’s death.
