Manuel Luís Goucha received, on TVI’s “Goucha” program, which aired last Thursday afternoon, the 25th, Catarina Sampaio.
“There are heavy things in your life, namely, perhaps the heaviest, has to do with the United Kingdom, when you suffered an attempted rape… And this brand, this heavy ‘thing’, can you let it fly?”, he asked the host.
“It still hurts,” she began by responding, emotionally. “This is something that I kept… It’s something that I decided to expose today, or rather, when I entered ‘Big Brother’, I felt that in ‘Curva da Vida’ I was going to do it”, he continued.
“Nobody knows, not even my mother knows. You’ll know now. It was something I decided I was going to do. When I went to England, I didn’t see any more opportunities in Portugal, I had already left 100 CVs, to 100 companies, directly on the farm, face to face and I couldn’t do it. So, I told my mother that, after a month, if I didn’t return from work, I would go back outside”, he introduced.
“I went with the contract in hand, but I had a rented house where the address didn’t even exist. I was scammed. That’s when I spent five or six nights sleeping under a bridge. It was a sheltered place… My mother doesn’t know either. After those days, I met a couple and we rented a house. The woman worked at night and the man was in his early 20s. He harassed me for a long time. I was going to go for a walk and wait for her to come back at five in the morning so I could go into the house. One day she came into my room and tried to rape me, but there were no more houses around. I really believe in God and I just screamed and asked: ‘Why God, why are you doing this to me? But why?’, he revealed? Catarina Sampaio.
“That night, my friend came home early and he heard the key opening the door and he punched me in the face and said: ‘Woe to you…’. The next day, I left and never told to anyone”, he concluded.
