Four people died and two others were injured after a crash between a car and a truck, on BR-381, in Baguari, district of Governador Valadares, on Sunday night (28).
According to witnesses, the driver, when trying to overtake, entered the opposite lane and hit the truck.
Inside the passenger car there were four people who died instantly: Pedro Miguel Fonseca, aged 44, Nadia Cristina Abraão Nascimento dos Santos, aged 38, Fagner de Souza, aged 43, Sheila Cristiane Vieira Brandão de Souza, aged 49.
In the truck, which belongs to a slaughterhouse in Governador Valadares, there were two people.
The driver was trapped in the wreckage and was taken to Minicipal Hospital where he remains intubated; he fractured both legs and both arms.
The other employee suffered minor injuries and did not need to be taken to the health unit.
According to the police report, when they arrived at the scene, the bodies of the victims were scattered.
In addition to the firefighters, the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) also provided aid to the injured.
Civil Police experts attended the scene and released the bodies to the Governor Valadares IML.
The track was completely closed during forensic work and the washing of the section by firefighters to remove the debris that remained on the highway.
