The businessman lost the case he filed against the broadcaster and the presenter
In March 2024, Alexandre Correa filed a lawsuit against Band and Catia Fonseca, presenter of Melhor da Tarde, for moral damages when talking about his monetary transfers to private accounts. However, the São Paulo Court of Justice denied a request for compensation of R$41 million filed by the businessman and ex-husband of Ana Hickmann.
According to F5, Alexandre Correa’s defense appealed the decision and two reasons were responsible for his defeat: the Court did not see sensationalism on the part of Catia Fonseca and the Band when talking about the matter and he refused to pay the court’s costs. process.
The businessman claimed that he is out of money due to the latest problems and legal disputes. As a result, he requested that the process be conducted free of charge, but the judge responsible for the case denied the request. Furthermore, Ana Hickmann’s ex-husband reduced the amount requested for compensation for moral damages to R$300,000. According to him, the presenter and the broadcaster did not give him space when they informed him that he transferred R$41.8 million to private accounts.
For Enio Martins Murad, Alexandre Correa’s lawyer, the presenter “was unable to prove anything she claims” and her information was “false”. “In fact, Ana Hickmann was the one who opened an orange company to divert resources from companies”, he commented.
It is worth remembering that this is the third lawsuit filed by the businessman against Band. He has also filed a lawsuit against Record, due to an interview with Ana Hickmann in November 2023, and against SBT, for the reports on the case in Fofocalizando.
