Catarina Sampaio, former contestant on “Big Brother 2024”, suffered an attempted rape when she lived in the United Kingdom.
“When I got there, I had the contract in my hand, so far so good, but, once again, I got there and there was a house that I had rented separately from the hospital, because then I had to do everything individually, and what is certain is that when I got there I didn’t have the house, the address I had didn’t even exist, the house corresponding to that address, I went door to door“, he said.
Catarina Sampaio ended up sleeping under a bridge: “It was at that time that I had, I don’t know, around five, six days sleeping under a bridge, it was a very sheltered place, it was more discreet, there was a huge path in which I allowed, at a certain point, to have visibility, and I got some blankets and went there. And they stayed there for five nights.”
After five days, some friends found a house for her to stay, a couple who worked shifts, but her husband began to harass her: “I was twenty, twenty something and years old, and he harassed me for a long timeI had made a point many times, during the night, of not showing up at home, I would go for a walk, I was already so used to the discomfort, that for me it was just another small discomfort, and I expected her to return to the house at five in the morning. home, when I saw her… Entering the house”.
But one night, he entered the room: “And he tried to rape me, yes. I started to scream, but unfortunately it was a house, there were no houses around, and she wasn’t there. My luck on that day, I believe a lot in God and I have enormous faith, I don’t have a bad religion. I respect each one of them. But that day, I just screamed at myself, at my intern and said, why God, how are you doing this? But why? And funny, that same night, she had to come home early“. She didn’t say anything and left that house the next day.
