UAn airline worker was left in serious condition after drinking coffee from a vending machine, which had insects inside. The case occurred on Monday, at Palma airport, in Spain.
The incident was reported to the police station at the airport, according to the Spanish press.
The woman bought the coffee from an automatic machine and, as soon as she tasted it, she realized that it had a strange taste. So, she started stirring with a spoon and noticed that there were insects at the bottom of the glass.
Later, the woman had to be urgently rescued by the airport’s medical team, ending up being transported in serious condition to the hospital, where she was admitted to the intensive care unit.
The victim suffered an anaphylactic shock, as ingesting the insects caused a reaction similar to that of poison, causing his health to “degrade rapidly”.
