AImages of the moment two barbers from East Hartford, in the US state of Connecticut, saved a child are going viral on social media.
The video shows the moment when professionals, who were working, observe a child running outside, towards a busy intersection.
The duo runs out of the establishment towards the child, managing to catch him in time, just before he enters the intersection and a van passes in front of him.
Local authorities also took to social media to applaud these two professionals. “Thanks to them, a potential tragedy was avoided and a family remains whole. We are incredibly grateful to these heroes”, they said on social media.
One of the barbers explained to North American publications that he didn’t think twice when he saw the child running, and came to his aid. The child had run away from his mother, who was at a bus stop. “The mother lost sight of the child for a second. It happens. It’s happened to me,” said the man, who added that the mother was “ashamed and grateful” to the two men who saved her son.
