International markets – with a greater incidence in Portuguese-speaking African countries – were responsible for 40% of turnover.
“We closed the year celebrating our 30th anniversary with record growth, despite the particularly adverse European and global context we faced, combined with market volatility”, highlights Inês Sequeira Mendes, Abreu’s ‘managing partner’ in a press release .
According to this law firm, the only one of Portuguese origins that publicly reveals its billing values, the areas of practice that were most prominent in the legal advisory activity provided by Abreu were mergers and acquisitions, litigation and arbitration. , real estate and public law and environment.
In the same statement where it discloses its turnover last year, Abreu Advogados also notes the work it carried out on a ‘pro bono’ basis – with 2740 hours per year – highlighting World Youth Day, which the company classifies as ” the largest ‘pro bono’ project ever, with contributions to more than 2,500 contracts, in a multidisciplinary team made up of 15 lawyers”.
