Anyone who loves reading will love this news! The University of São Paulo (USP) gave a gift to students and non-students: a real library, with 900 free books for download.
These are works on the most varied study themes, covering areas such as health, engineering, tourism, education, among others. Additionally, there are also themed collections!
Books can be downloaded very simply and easily, through the university’s online platform. See how below.
Online library
In addition to the 900 free books, USP also released 7,400 publications from more than 60 countries, which can also be accessed without paying anything!
There are newspapers and magazines about gastronomy, sport, entertainment and much more.
And to complete this super gift, the university also provides its own scientific publications. There are 16 academic publishers and 42 publishing houses.

How to access
Access to all free material, including books, international publications and USP scientific journals, can be accessed through two websites.
The USP Open Books Portal was opened in 2016 and is available to both university users and outsiders.
No registration is required. Just search for the work you want to download and save the PDF file on your computer, cell phone, tablet or digital book reader.
The Magazine Portal, also offered by universities, requires the registration of a login and password. The process for this second platform, however, is very simple to do.
It is worth remembering that the unauthorized sale or reproduction of each of the works made available by USP is prohibited. The university releases materials only for research, knowledge and study purposes.
