O BCP was the company that slipped the most this Wednesday, in line with the performance of the sector in Europe, which trades in the red. The bank recorded losses of 3.79% to 0.3125 euros, This is the biggest daily drop since the end of February.
In addition to the financial institution, the other four heavyweights ended with losses: EDP Renováveis, which lost 1.71% to 12.65 euros, Jerónimo Martins, which fell 1.32% to 18.63 euros, EDP, with a devaluation of 1.29% to 3.525 euros, and Galp , although with more modest losses. The oil company dropped 0.35% to 19.99 euros, slightly correcting the sharp gains of recent days. The company yesterday became the most valuable listed company on the main national index, benefiting from the announcement that has completed the first phase of the Mopane exploration project in Namibia with an “important commercial discovery”.
Despite ending the day with losses, shares reached 20.38 euros during the session, an all-time high.
Among the biggest falls was also the Mota-Engilcommon decline of 2.33% to 4.194 euros.
Conversely, the Ibersol was the company that most appreciated by rising 1.7% to 7.16 euros.
Stopping further falls in the PSI were also Altri and the Navigator, with gains of 1.65% to 5.24 euros and 1.26% to 4.18 euros, respectively. The Navigator announced this Wednesday that will increase the prices of its tissue paper (toilet paper, napkins, kitchen rolls, hand towels, among others) by between 8% and 10% in all markets where it operates, for orders shipped from May onwards.
Already the Greenvolt and the REN ended the day unchanged, with the shares worth 8.3 euros and 2.24 euros, respectively.
